KVZN Equipment Drive

The FCC has granted Coos Commons Protection Council a permit to construct a full power non-commercial community radio station. Breakdown below is for new equipment and whenever possible we will try to acquire what we need at a lower cost. Total for new equipment is $26,440. We don’t need a physical studio to operate the station but any savings will go toward establishing a studio where the public is welcome. Funding for a public studio will be generated through a separate campaign.

Custom Antenna – with directional certification $7200
1000 – 1500 watt Transmitter – $6500
EAS – $2300
One year tower rental and installation – $9000
One year Satellite connection – $1440

K-Vizion Community Radio 

Community radio covers local and regional issues too often ignored by legacy media. KVZN FM will give a voice to local perspectives, ranchers, farmers, fishermen, families, businesses, talent and homegrown music!

KVZN is pro-community and pro-democracy and will produce local programming about things that matter right here in Coos County. The station will curate national and regional content of importance to our county.
